For the home water softener Magnetizer® “RWE-S” system: its proper selection is calculated by the size of a house and the water hardness.
A bigger house with harsh water conditions requires the installation of extra units mounted at a distance of 1 inch from each other.
Below is a rule of thumb for the proper selection of Magnetizer® home water softener:
If a home is < 2,500 sq. ft. (>230 m2), then 1 unit (2 rings) of “RWE-S” is required.
This means that a total of two rings are needed: one for the cold water inlet and the other for the hot water outlet of the heater/boiler.
If a home is around 2,500-5,000 sq. ft. (230-460 m2), there is a requirement of 1 unit (2 rings) of “RWE-S” + 1 unit (1 ring) of “RWE-1.”
It requires a total of three rings in which two rings are placed 1 inch apart on the cold water inlet and one ring on the hot water outlet of the heater or boiler.
If a home is > 5,000 sq. ft. (>460 m2), then two units (4 rings) of “RWE-S” are required.
This means a total of four rings: two placed 1 inch apart on the cold water inlet, and two placed 1 inch apart on the hot water outlet.
If your home is in a hard water area with>10 grains ppm, you must double the “RWE-S” quantity to attain effective outcomes.
